Jazz drummer, born in New York - died 28 March 1996 (aged 64). He performed also what he called "drummetry", a combination of poetry and drumming. Among others, he played with Sun Ra during the early '60s, Max Roach, Randy Weston, Patty Waters, Barry Harris, Baba Olatunji, Ed Stout, Roland Alexander, Mickey Davidson, Dianne McIntyr and Langston Hughes.
