The C.Q.C.'S. were C-Curtis Johnson from The Chips (2), The Astors, and Brothers Unlimited; Q-Harold "Quake" Johnson (brothers) from The Astors & Brothers Unlimited; C-"Cousey" John "Kousi" Harris from Brothers Unlimited, & J. Robinson and The Dynamics and now CEO of High Pyramid Records; S-Sam Jones from The Chips (2) and The Astors, all from Memphis, TN . All came together in Buffalo, N.Y. in 1977, producing, recording, and releasing "Wake Up" and other songs on, Funk Factory Records out of Dayton, Ohio, and Buffalo, N.Y.
