A.k.a. Elliott Boswell Calypso

Elliott grew up in Canada's tiniest province, Prince Edward Island. In 2002, he moved to Halifax, Nova Scotia to attend university and it was there that his interest in creating hip-hop found legs. He very rapidly became a sample guru, amassing a large vinyl collection and an even more vast knowledge of breaks and what makes for good sources. His beats became very coveted, but in the time that he lived in Halifax, only one actually appeared on an album that was released. He was torn between releasing a solo album or a producer compilation, but eventually neither materialized before his focus changed to a career in the marketing part of the music industry. As of this writing, he hasn't made new music in close to two years. In addition to his beats, he was performing live as a rapper with the Front Porch crew which also included Apt, Universe Arm and Litterbug. Although Cal and Apt both moved to Toronto in 2005, this partnership did not survive long in the wake of Litterbug's tragic passing away. Aside from being featured on a few albums, the bulk of Cal's rapping was done live and never recorded.
