Calves (/ˈkævz/ or /ˈkɑːvz/; singular calf /ˈkæf/ or /ˈkɑːf/) are the young of domestic cattle. Calves are reared to become adult cattle, or are slaughtered for their meat, called veal, and for their calfskin.
