Formed in Paris in 2012 by musicians came from garage scene, punk, surf and italo disco, Calypso explore new lands, the lounge music and exotica 1950s. If the melodies are sweet and catchy, the five oddballs doesn’t deny any of their musical past. Reverberated surf guitar Alexis (formerly The Cavaliers) is the central figure of the quintet, with singing Liza (formerly This Is Pop) and Marie So (singer of The Suppressive) Boris keyboard / drum machine (keyboard in Club Passion too) and Thibault vibraphone. The compositions of the group are fine-tuned, pops and simple, without falling into the figures of simpleton. In February 2014, four titles out on a strange tape called Calypso. The case is stamped and sealed cardboard with string.
