Brazilian guitarist and composer. He was married to singer Sylvia Telles and is the father of Claudia Telles. Collaborated with The Mitchell-Ruff Duo and Cussy de Almeida. His most frequent partners were lyricists Lula Freire and Marino Pinto. Not to be mistaken with pop drummer Candinho neither with Bahian samba composer Candinho (2). Born on February 8, 1934 in Lambari, State of Minas Gerais. Died on September 4, 2017 in Rio de Janeiro, RJ.
