——Sleeve info—— .liner notes in English Abbey Records - Eynsham · Oxford Printed by West Brothers · Printers · Limited, Mitcham .empty (white) spine Canterbury Cathedral Choir The earliest reference to the music in Canterbury Cathedral is probably in the chronicles of 1423 when Lionel Power was received into the fraternity. He later became one of the greatest of fifteenth century composers. The Organ The chamber organ which is used in this record was given to Canterbury Cathedral by Mrs. Galpin and may be by Father Smith; however it is doubtful if the pipes can be dated before 1750, when the organ underwent fairly drastic alterations. It has seven ranks of pipes. ——Centerlabels info—— ℗ 1968 Made in Gt. Britain .white labels, black print, copyright message & label logos printed in orange
