Band, IT
World, Rock and Folk
Seminal Italian folk outfit. They started as a largely vocal ensemble doing traditional music of Lazio. With each further album they developed a more experimental cross-genre music, blending folk with all sorts of fusion and avant-garde elements, comparable to Aktuala, Ritmia, Third Ear Band, etc. When the band split some members formed the supersession group Carniascalia. Chief band member Carlo Silotto later went solo and is nowadays well-known as a film music composer.
