Caprice Mondor-Halliwell was born in Dakar, Senegal on July 14, 1985, daughter of the French industrialist and mining magnate Gerard Mondor. While born in Dakar, and of French citizenship, she made Harare, Zimbabwe her primary residence at the age of 24 (2009). She is a certified commercial airline pilot, having flown cargo DC-10s for Avient Aviation, later MD-11s AV Cargo of Zimbabwe. At the age of 15, she discovered disco, listening to modern house music broadcast by Radio FG in Paris. She learned to play the piano at the age of 5 and the violin at the age of 7, and combined with her later interest in disco, pursued music production as a side project from her airline duties. She graduated in 2003 from the Lycée EIB Etoile school in Paris, earning her baccalaureate, and went on to La Sorbonne, earning a degree in Political Science, before deciding to follow her passion and joining a flight academy. She joined Avient Aviation in 2009 as a first officer on the DC-10, and later transitioning to the MD-11. She remained passionate about disco and italodisco, and heavily researched the European contributions to the genres. She married fellow Avient pilot Michael Halliwell in 2010, changing her last name to Mondor-Halliwell. She met Martin Zuniga in New York in 2012, a former business associate of her father, and participated with his production efforts starting in 2013, working long-distance from Harare, and occasionally traveling to the United States. She is a founding member of Alpha Sixty, who released their debut album "Dark City" on April 17, 2015.
