Compil. US 1999 on Buddha Records label
Rock (Blues Rock, Avant-garde)
All tracks were recorded between Oct and Nov 1967 at TTG Studios, LA, California, USA. Tracks 1 to 4 were released as the 1971 LP Mirror Man. By this time the band had adopted the moniker 'Captain Beefheart And The Magic Band'. That LP (and re-releases like this CD) therefore uses the earlier moniker 'Captain Beefheart And His Magic Band'. The remaining five tracks appeared previously on the 1992 compilation I May Be Hungry But I Sure Ain't Weird - The Alternate Captain Beefheart.
