Captain Beefheart And The Magic Band - 1967 Unreleased Bell Sound Studios, Inc. Acetate, 237 W. 54th Street, New York, N.Y. 1019, including working versions of tracks recorded in October/November 1967 at TTG Studios, Los Angeles for aborted double 'Brown Wrapper' Album project. The double-sided 12" Acetate has an official red and while Bell Sound Studio, Inc. Label with the working titles hand typed. Many of these song titles differ to the titles as released in later years. [i.e. Trust Us is typed 'Trust U.S' / On Tomorrow as 'Tomorrow' and Gimmie Dat Harp Boy typed as 'Gimmie that Harp Boy. [There is also an obvious capitalisation error in Side A - Track 3 and Roman numerals are used to differentiate the different 'takes'] Artist credited on Label as Captain Beefheart but it is the Captain Beefheart And His Magic Band line-up inc Alex St Clair Snouffer, Jeff Cotton, Jerry Handley, John French and Don Van Vliet, therefore Captain Beefheart is the ANV. NB. Some of these tracks were digitally remastered and eventually released in 1992 on Sequel's 'I May Be Hungry But I Sure Ain't Weird' CD.
