Born: September 1, 1928 Munroe, Louisiana. Died: December 6, 2001 Los Angeles, Californa. Started playing piano in church. Moved to Los Angeles in 1953 in order to be around the music scene and switched to guitar. Cardell played with the late J.D. Nicholson, Ray Agee and Pee Wee Crayton as well as holding down club residencies andd supporting T-bone Walker and Johnny Guitar Watson. He has had two 45's on J.J. "Bad Boy" Jones' Delphine label under the name of Louisiana Guitar Red
