Carl Johan Calleman, Ph.D. is internationally recognized as a leading expert on the Mayan calendar and has published the books Maya-hypotesen (1994), The Mayan Calendar (2001) and The Mayan calendar and the Transformation of Consciousness (2004). The Mayan Calendar is known for its accuracy and according to this ancient Calendar of the Mayas, (Central America) 2012 is a year of transition into a new Era of the World. In fact, there calendar ends 2012 and every ending is a new beginning... Many scholars including Dr Calleman points out 2012 as a time of transition into what has been termed the Golden Age.
