Carl M Cox is a media savvy writer, designer and record producer with a great entrepreneurial zeal, a shrewd eye for design and sharp ear for a great pop record! Originating from the city of Wolverhampton in the West Midlands, Central England, Carl masterminded Prolific Music Entertainment from being a simple college enterprise project in October 1995 to a burgeoning UK studio, where over the past twenty years clients have included Disney, Virgin, BBC, ITV, Tesco, Pete Waterman, Sony Music, Fox News, Warner Music and many others. In addition to being an A&R (artist and repertoire) executive for Prolific Music, he writes songs and produces music with several influential production partners. His prominence in the music industry began to steadily rise in 2005 following a year spent working for pop mogul Pete Waterman at PWL Radio. Carl also felt privileged to be given the opportunity to be mentored by top Birmingham based manager, John Mostyn. Inner City, The Beat, Fine Young Cannibals, Alison Moyet and Ocean Colour Scene are just a handful of artists whose careers John has guided. Carl has fulfilled several ambitions to work with some of his lifelong music idols. During the past ten years, he has co-written songs with German writer/producer, Frank Farian (Boney M), UK Hit Factory luminaries Phil Harding, Ian Curnow, Dave Ford and Pete Hammond and most recently had the delight to work with Motown genius, Lamont Dozier- America’s most successful songwriter ever! A perfectionist to even the most miniscule of detail, Carl places quality of service and quality of product at the heart of Prolific Music’s operations. His uncompromising stance towards ensuring that everything which bears the Prolific Music Entertainment name be of the utmost quality, resonates throughout everything that both he and his loyal team do.
