In 1973 wordt Carla gevraagd door Radio Noord coryfee Cor Bakker om mee te werken aan een programma samen met de Noord Duitse Radio in het kader van de opening van de Eemshaven. Met de Groninger zanger Eddie Kamstra wordt het lied “De Gouden Stad” opgenomen en toen uitgezonden. De opname verdwijnt in het archief van Radio Noord. Pas in 2004 komt dit muziekstuk bij de verhuizing van Radio Noord weer boven water.
