Producer of Dance
A.k.a. Sal Wood
Italian DJ-producer (Rome, 13 Feb.,1959, † Tallin, Estonia, 6 Jan.,1998, after 6 days in a coma). Great worker, used to do three jobs at once; on his record stores in Rome (before was Best Record # 5, then Mix Up), as club-DJ at Baia Imperiale in Gabicce and then at Seven Up in Formia, which was in the 80s the biggest disco-club in Europe, also sponsor of 12" Heat The Beat by Sal Wood (always himself), Italo-Disco tune arranged by Marco Colucci and released by Claudio Casalini on Jumbo Records, label where the owner of House Of Music took refuge in the 1984 from the overwhelming power of the "major", holding the position as label manager. His disco products (co-produced with Stefano Zito) still are considered true masterpieces of Italo-Disco genre, much in demand for sampling. In the 90s Carlo Favilli worked very closely with Vanni Giorgilli and Maurizio Cristofori. He died prematurely in still mysterious circumstances.
