A.k.a. Caroline Lufkin
As the daughter of a military family, Caroline moved around a lot. She was born in Okinawa, Japan, but graduated from college in Boston, Massachusetts, then moved back to Japan to live with her pop-star sister Olivia who is signed to Avex Trax. Caroline did work for some commercials, including a cover of Minnie Riperton's "Loving You" for a telephone company. Not wanting to become a j-pop artist, she moved to back to the United States, to Los Angeles with the intention of creating youthful music. She wrote "Where's My Love" and researched the label Temporary Residence, sent labelfounder Jeremy deVine a link to her audio. He signed her for a single, and her debut album is also on Temporary Residence, which features production and programming by her brother, Jeffrey.
