Carrie Gates is a Saskatoon-based artist who has been working with turntablism, radio, experimental music, performance art, video, and event coordination for the last decade, while promoting artist-run culture, collaborative projects, and translocal community building through her performances, octopus networking, research activities, and advocacy for DIY culture. Active in the vibrant mid-90’s rave scene onwards, she is known in some circles as Lady Gates for her unique approaches to DJing and performance. Co-Curator and Webmistress of BricoLodge label
