Casey Truax, formerly known as Alphonsin, is a largely self-taught composer producing music ranging from filmscore to dark ambient and experimental soundscapes. Fans have compared his musical styles to those of John Carpenter, Tangerine Dream, Brian Eno and Wendy Carlos. The accessible and often cinematic style of his work has attracted numerous filmmakers, who have used his music in documentaries and other productions including ‘Davis in a Day’ (2012). His tracks have also featured in various compilations including ‘Midnight Radio’, ‘The BFW Christmas Album’ and the 'Radio Happy Music Compilation’ for the Haiyan/Yolanda Victims.
