Field recordings made in 1959 by members of the American Himalayan Expedition to the Dhaulagiri massif in Western central Nepal. These recordings include items performed by people of the Botea, Sherpa, Takali and Newari peoples as well as by Tibetan refugees who at this time had recently fled Tibet to escape the Chinese invasion. Comes with 11 page booklet containing notes and photographs.
