Background detail from download page: "This track is a result of a poetry competition launched by Jane Graham (a Scottish Book Trust Reader in Residence) via North Lanarkshire, Cumbria and Gwynedd libraries. Jane was inspired by the ghostly, romantic story of the village of Bothwellhaugh, which was abandoned and then drowned in the 1970s to make room for Strathclyde Loch; the remains of the village can still be seen through the water. Jane asked library users in those three areas, North Lanarkshire, Cumbria and Gwynedd, all of which have a flooded village - to write a poem with that theme. The competition was judged by the Manics' Nicky Wire, and poets Liz Lochhead and Ian McMillan. The winner was 'Never Come Home' by Catherine Baird from North Lanarkshire. The prize was to have her poem soundtracked by Stuart Braithwaite. The reader is actress Shirley Henderson, from Trainspotting, Wedding Belles, Doctor Who, Filth and Harry Potter."
