Cecil Shaw Jr. is the son of Brother Cecil L. Shaw (who sang sanctified gospel in the 1950s). Cecil Jr. was a member of a vocal trio with Billy Davis Jr. and Marilyn McCoo, who released his solo singles on their Bill-Mar label.
