جگەرخوێن / Cegerxwîn (meaning "Bleeding Liver) was the pen name for the Kurdish poet, writer, journalist and nationalist activist Şêxmûs Hesen (1903, Mardin, Ottoman Empire - 1984, Stockholm, Sweden). His family left for Amude in Northerns Syria in 1914. After imprisonment in Syria for membership in the communist party he left for Iraqi Kurdistan in 1969 before moving on to Lebanon in 1973. Returned to Syria in 1976 before he setteled in Sweden in 1979.
