"Recorded directly to VHS tape January 30, 2010: SOUNDS FOR NON-SLEEPERS is a piece that utilizes 12-tone drones (each tone for a different track) with oscillator, brainwave and note reference generators working with and sometimes against each other. The only human interaction involved was me turning knobs and changing the pitch of the drone. Because of artistic purposes, it was deliberate on my part to change the harmonic structure of what occurs in most 12-tone drone pieces and I did this by limiting the amount of chromatic (half-step) drones from one track to the next by 50 %. Although the title may be slightly misleading, SOUNDS FOR NON-SLEEPERS was conceived to help you sleep during certain times of this experience. So, with said philosophy, it is recommended that you play SOUNDS... at a low volume for full effect. However, my feelings will not be hurt if you decide otherwise."
