Stoner, southern metal style band from Melbourne, Australia. Featuring founding members of Damage Case (3), Hyperion (19), 28 Days and Mindsnare. Around 2004 this band started out as 'Carnassial' with vocalist Blair Walsh. After Blair left the band, Smeer from Depression (2) / Gash (7) / Speed Demons (2) took over as the lead singer and named the band 'Chaingun'. Since then Chaingun has seen Matt Maunder from Mindsnare on vocals for the recording of their 2012/2013 EP. After Matt's departure Hyperion's former vocalist Jim Geogopoulos joined Chaingun alongside Hyperion guitarist Tony Brereton. With Jim on vocals, Chaingun released 'Mesmerised' in 2016. The band has always consisted of guitarist Tony Brereton, bass player James Rosengrave and drummer Adam Nanscawen.
