Private release; no writing on spine, white labels with blue writing. Liner Notes: This recording was done live at the "Jazz '75" performance here at Central High School, Champaign, Illinois. Guest soloist is Jim McNeeley, jazz pianist. Jim is a composer and arranger and plays with the University of Illinois Jazz Band, John Garvey, director. Jim wrote Central's award winning jazz chart, "Bubbles in the Mind," which is included in this album. Under the direction of new director, Sam Licocci, Central's Jazz Band continues to be one of the best jazz bands in the state of Illinois. The jazz band won the "Best of Festival" award at the Oaklawn Jazz Festival for the 2nd consecutive year. The band also brought many other honours to Central High School this year. A special note of thanks to Jim McNeeley for his "special" Central Jazz Chart and for his serving as guest soloist for "Jazz '75." Also a special note of thanks to Dr. Bernard Fleener, principal, Central High School for his support and encouragement.
