Jazz and Blues (East Coast Blues, Piano Blues, Smooth Jazz)
Recorded February 16 1996 at Tramps, NYC. Michael O'Donoghue, formerly of Tramps in NYC, had often spoken about the great R&B pioneer of the late '40s and '50s, CHARLES BROWN, who was a huge influence on Ray Charles, whose career Michael and Tramps owner Terry Dunne helped revive to play many times at Tramps in the '80s, and Bonnie Raitt, who loved him and his music, who lent her star power to promote him until he got too big again for Tramps to book him anymore. In 1996, on February 16th, at age 73, Charles returned for a final show at Tramps. Beautifully played and recorded Audio design and graphic designs for this CD by Jeremy Machalek. Manufactured and digitally encoded by Kunaki LLC for WhyArts Records. A portion of sales to benefit the New Orleans Musicians Clinic.
