A.k.a. Charles Frederick Weigle
Dr. Charles Frederick Weigle was a Baptist evangelist and noted hymn writer. Born in November 20, 1871, Lafayette, Indiana, he attended the Cincinnati Conservatory of Music, then went on to a career in preaching and songwriting. He composed over 1,000 Gospel songs, including such standards such as "No-one Ever Cared For Me Like Jesus". He sold his songs for $1 each. Charles Weigle died December 3, 1966, at age 95, in Chattanooga, Tennessee.
