Charley Samson

Classical music radio commentator; program notes author Charley Samson worked at KVOD from 1970-1989, when it was Denver’s commercial classical music station. He’d previously worked in radio through college. He came to Colorado Public Radio in 1994. (CPR later purchased the call letters in 2000 to preserve the heritage of the full-time classical music station.) His dry, witty delivery and distinct, penetrating tones made him a favorite among his fans in Denver and throughout the state.
