An American country music singer, guitarist and songwriter, born July 7, 1927 in Henagar, Alabama. Died Jan. 26, 2011 at his home in Wartrace, Tenn. following a brief battle with pancreatic cancer. Louvin was a member of the Country Music Hall of Fame, and was the oldest living member of the Grand Ole Opry, having been made a member in 1955.
