b.: 1913 d.: September 30, 2002 Irish balladeer singer and guitarist of the 1950's and 1960's. Charlie McGee was tremendously popular in Ireland, singing Irish ballads to his own guitar accompaniment. When his success was declining, he moved to the US for 15 years, before retiring to in 1979.
