Album US 1989 on Rutabaga Records label
Country (Bluegrass)
At age sixteen Eastern Kentuckian, Charlie Sizemore went to work as lead guitarist for The Goins Brothers. A year or so later, after a short, intense backstage audition, Ralph Stanley offered him the lead singer job with The Clinch Mountain Boys. After finishing obligations to the Goins Brothers, Charlie accepted and went on the road with Ralph and his band. He recorded a dozen or so LP's with Ralph and the Clinch Mountain Boys before setting out on his own. He's joined on this LP by wife Robin Tackett Sizemore (vocals) as well as Stuart Duncan (fiddle). Ralph Stanley, and Curly Ray Kline join him on the last four tracks. John Evans drums tastefully throughout adding to the overall honky tonk feel.
