Singer of Latin
A.k.a. David Lozado
David Lozada, known as Cheka, was born in Cypress Hills, Brooklyn (New York). He had spent 10 years there before he moved to Guayama, Puerto Rico, where he became an underground singer. He wanted to be original, successful and did not want to have any rivals in the course of his career. He got his first chance by the production of "Playero" album at BM Records, by contributing his two songs. One of them was even used for a music video. From that point on, many doors were open for him in the music industry; he even signed a contract with Life Records that also worked with Baby Rasta and Gringo. He also started to write successful music for various reggaeton singers, such as, for example, the collaboration with Luny Tunes on Don Omar's song "Dale Don Dale". Cheka's first success His first success came with release of the song "No te olvidaré" from Baby Rasta y Gringo album "Romances del Ruido 2". Then came other albums such as "The Noise-Biografia" or "DJ Eric 7", to name a few. Cheka has more than twelve productions now, not to mention the songs he wrote for other reggaeton and salsa artists. "Sin Rivales", his most recent production Although, meanwhile, reggaeton is getting more and more popular in many countries and the competition is constantly growing, Cheka, according to him, does not have any rivals, that is the reason why he called his recent production "Sin Rivales" (without rivals). Cheka himself defines this record as a variation, since it has everything from ballads to bachatas and merengues in it. Cheka's musical inspiration According to Cheka, love and life experience seem to be the most important inspiration for him, and his own experience as well as experience of others tends to be the basis for his songs. Cheka also produced the soundtrack for the new TV-series "Cuando Llora el Corazón".
