Cheryl Nickerson, was born in Monroe and grew up in Los Angeles, she started to sing since she was a child at the Church of Christian where, in conformity with the most classical of American traditions, were given her the foundations of afro-american culture and was transmitted to her the afflatus of soul. During the period of her advanced studies, in the wake of 70's musical movements, she was able to frequently perform in front of the audience. At the end of her studies he decided to go on with her artistic career and in 1977 she enrolled in California State University where she got her degree in singing and acting with flying colours. At the beginning of the 80's she gained a permanent engagement with the renowned Albert Mc Neil's Los Angeles Jubilee Singers, together with whom, for over a decade, she represented in an excellent way, the rich afro-american tradition of Gospel and Spiritual thanks to triumphal tours all around the world, performing regularly in renowned temples of music and art. Besides making a name for herself in american classical music environment as a fascinating interpreter of Gospel and Rhythm'n'Blues, Cheryl has worked in years for important recording studios in California, supporting artists like Ray Charles, Jennifer Holiday, Bette Midler. Brillant example of skill and singing charm Cheryl claims audience's attention thanks to her voice with eminently modulated tones, her engaging interpretation, her delicate gestural expressiveness and her typical determination.
