The Danish band Choir Of Young Believers was founded by Jannis Noya Makrigiannis in 2006. In May 2007, the band released their debut EP "Burn The Flag". The critically acclaimed EP earned the band a lot of attention in Denmark. The single “Sharpen Your Knife” got airplay and become "Pick Of The Week" on the biggest national radio station "P3". The single went no. 1 on the national indie chart, and stayed there for the maximum of eight weeks. The success resulted in a gig at Roskilde Festival, a national radio award for “Talent Of The Year” and a critic's choice award for “Hope Of The Year”. In April 2008, recordings of their debut album "This Is For The White In Your Eyes" began. The first single “Next Summer” became "Pick Of The Week". The band performed at both Spot Festival and Roskilde Festival in July. On the 1st of September, the album “This Is For The White In Your Eyes” was released in Denmark. In 2009, the project signed with American independent record label "Ghost International, and re-released their debut album on the 18th of August.
