The first cast of CHOLANE was founded in a small village near Peine in Germany. The trio at that time consisted of Juergen Wulfes (Guit./Voc.) and two other comrades, in the cast last there then with Angie Schneider in the bass. Due to Juergen’s move to Hanover CHOLANE was first put on ice, until in 1989 with Holger Gitschel (guit.) and a drummer the band again could be formed. Many big and small appearances followed mainly in the environs of Hanover. With Oliver Engel and his successor Rolf Sievert on drums in 1997 the recordings for the first CD “BlackBox” on the label “BlueStoneMusic” were finished. Then in 1998 current drummer Daniel Knop joined in, then with him in 2003 the CD “KICKIN’ “was recorded in the Frida-park-studio in Hanover. In the end of 2003 the long-standing comrades-in-arms Holger Gitschel and Angie Schneider left the band. Then after one year a new bass player could be found in the end of 2004 with Carsten Gelinski, so that the band decided to go on as a trio. In 2005 CHOLANE again was again completed as a quartet with guitarist Isidro to enter the stages. After guitarist Isidro left the band in 2007 and 2008 bassists Carsten temporarily renounced the rock’n’roll the band was again completed with Niels Soerenhagen on bass. In November 2010 Kai Steffen could be won for the guitar as a comrade-in-arms against the bad powers of the pop music. Spring of 2014 the band started recorded their new album titled “Caution!” delivers traditional, powerful Hard Rock with an edge better enjoyed cranked to 10.
