Chop Pitman

g,
Musician of Rock
A.k.a. Gary Pitman

Back in 1977 Gary Pitman lended his Marshall amp to a young bassplayer and his band for a gig at the Cart & Horses pub on Maryland Point, Stratford, London. That young bassplayer was Steve Harris with his band Iron Maiden. The two stayed friends and still are until this day. Steve introduced Gary to former Iron Maiden drummer Doug Sampson and they started jamming. In came bassplayer Tony Hatton with whom Gary played before in a band called E.L-34. Doug's brother Sam Sampson who used to be the vocalist for Sam Apple Pie was introduced as the new singer and that's how Airforce was born.
