Prolific and very popular South African singer / ukelele player /songwriter who sang mostly Folk and humorous songs and mostly in Afrikaans. Called the South African Burl Ives and still has superstar status. Born 27 April 1897 in Johannesburg and died 21 July 1974 in Vereeniging.
