Singer Christopher Lamont Bender was born on August 2, 1972 in Boston, Massachusetts. Bender recorded his first album, Baby Doll, at the age of 16 and was signed to a seven-album contract. On November 3, 1991, at 2:17 A.M., Bender was shot and killed in Brockton, Massachusetts, while sitting in his blue Mercedes Benz outside of the Crescent Court housing project where his mother lived.
