A.k.a. Christelijk Mannenkoor “Albatros”
Founded in 1932 at Oude Pekela, Groningen, The Netherlands. At that time it was the Choir from the employees from Sigar Factory “Albatros” at Oude Pekela. Most employees had a Christian back ground and they sing in the factory Christian songs during the proces. They did that very good and so they formed a choir to sing in churches in the northern part of The Netherlands. Later other members from the region came to the choir too. The choir was famous in The Netherlands during the years 1960-1980. The factory closed in 1976. There is a book about the history of the factory.
