Danish musician, jazz record collector, former Prince of Denmark (b. October 22nd, 1942). As the oldest cousin of the Danish Queen monarch Dronning Margrethe II Christian af Rosenborg was heir to the Danish throne had the danish constitution not been altered in 1953 to give gender equality to the throne. He is also 1030th in the line of succession to the British throne. Renounced his royalty and prince title in 1971 to marry non-royal, becoming count to Rosenborg. In his youth he was a percussionist and jazz record collector, reportedly having the largest collection of jazz records in Denmark. He studied w. Perez Prado and performed with Edmundo Ros.
