Christian Freire Brito, drummer with a career of more than 20 years in the world of music. He was born on June 9, 1973 in the city of Guayaquil. Since he was very young he had a great inclination towards the arts but it was not until he was 13 years old that he decided that the drums were his favorite instrument and as many kids of that age his motivation was mainly the songs on the radio, the first videos and some presentations in live to which he had the opportunity to attend to nourish himself from the world of percussion in the mid-eighties. In 1987 he was part of his first band as a drummer called TRIBU with whom he played until the mid-nineties; already in 1995 he meets Luis Rueda and this suggests him to be part of his new musical project that would give rise to one of the most representative bands of the rock scene from Guayaquil in recent years LA TRIFULLKA, with which he starts his career really professional as a musician, because with this group had the opportunity to offer multiple presentations around the Ecuador, record three albums until 2002 and as a high point of popularity go on behalf of Ecuador to participate in one of the most important festivals in Latin America : ROCK TO THE PARK; in the city of Bogotá-Colombia. For the year 2003 Christian Freire decides to leave the Trifullka and embarks on a new project with other musical expectations and a totally different genre, rock fused with Latin rhythms such as salsa, cumbia and merengue with LA BANDA DEL SARGENTO TOMATE with whom He played for two years, doing many shows in several provinces of Ecuador and had the opportunity to record an album at the Lobo Recording Studios in New York City in 2005. In mid-2005 Christian Freire always eager to experience different styles, this time he decided to audition to be part of the band that would accompany the then novel artist JORGE LUIS DEL HIERRO, with whom he worked for five years until 2010 as his drummer and musical director, forming part of the successful tours and career of said youth artist. For 2010 onwards Christian decides to return to his rock roots and is contacted by the now soloist Luis Rueda with whom he has been a friend for many years since the time of Trifullka and with whom he has been working in recent years both in his live shows as in his last production ready to go out to the public; In addition to collaborating as a drummer with other bands from the independent rock scene in Guayaquil such as LOS SMOKINGS and LOS BRIGANTE, the latter are the winners of the 2013 phonographic fund contest of the Ministry of Culture, which will also be available for sale in the near future. country. In addition to a long musical and artistic career, Christian Freire has also stood out in these years as an educator, since it is another of his passions, dedicating a lot of time to the teaching of drums and also guitar in a particular way; as well as in several educational centers of the city of Guayaquil offering courses and being part of Clinics along with other colleagues of the environment. One of its latest projects is business, as it has recently launched its own brand of personalized GROOVA instrument boxes to the music market, with which it aims to fill an existing gap in the national market.
