French composer and electroacoustic music teacher. Born 1950 in Caen, France. Groult studied at Conservatoire national supérieur de musique de Paris, then at Groupe de recherches musicales (GRM). She's also studied musicology and linguistic at Sorbonne University in Paris. Groult taught electroacoustic composition at École nationale de musique of Chalon-sur-Saône from 1985 to 1990, and until then at Conservatoire à rayonnement départemental in Pantin. She's also a founding member of the Music in situ and KM Pantin association. She composed stage and film music alongside tape music at her own studio since 1997. Her sound installation - Le chant de la Tour Eiffel - is permanently installed on the first floor at the north pillar of the Eiffel Tower.
