With a career of more than 15 years backing him up, DJ / Producer Cihan Mareno is an established yet continuously growing force in the underground European electronic music scene. Starting small at local clubs and parties led his talent to be recognized and firmly ingrained his sound in the sonic worlds of underground tech house, techno, and deep house. Since then he has moved on to larger clubs and has garnered support from such stalwarts as Loco Dice, Luciano, Marco Carola, and Richie Hawtin. He counts these artists as among his influences, in addition to techno masters Carl Cox and Chris Liebing. Born in Germany with Turkish roots, raised in the Netherlands, and based now in Belgium, Mareno additionally draws from multi-cultural influences. In his live sets he emphasizes consciously selecting uncommon tracks; as a result he has obtained residencies in Netherlands, Belgium, Germany,Turkey, and many more. Mareno’s catalog and performances continue to increase in number and quality.
