A.k.a. CINTRON
New York Hard Rock band of the early 80s with only one 12"EP released in 1982. Cintron was a power trio based on 6-string axeman George Cintron. Other members were Ray Callahan (Drums) and Leo Greene (Bass). George Cintron was the lead singer and the other members did backing vocals. The EP has a Creedence Clearwater Revival song "Fortunate Son". The indie label that released their only 12" was called In Rock Records from New York. GEORGE CINTRON BIOGRAPHY: George Cintron is a guitarist, vocalist, and songwriter who is a founding member of the group "Cintron"- a band that dominated the 1980's tri-state club circuit. As one of the top live acts, "Cintron" played over 1200 shows, including appearances with: Joe Perry of Aerosmith, Edgar & Johnny Winter, Mountain, Twisted Sister, Zebra, and Rat Race Choir. George Cintron was also an early proponent of the D.I.Y. ethic, self financing their own recordings resulting in the 1983 EP "Cintron." Current credits plus timeline of projects: - Guitarist for Windborne Music shows touring throughout North America including Tributes to: Led Zeppelin, Queen, The Who, Pink Floyd, The Eagles, U2, and The Rolling Stones. - Guitarist and vocals for Clapton Chronicles- a tribute band to the music of Eric Clapton. - Guitarist and vocals for solo acoustic shows that include cover and original music. * 2005: Las Vegas Production of Queen's Musical "We Will Rock You." * 2000-present: Writing & recording various original projects. * 2000: West Coast American Tour with the Trans Siberian Orchestra. * 1997-2000: Guitar & Vocals for Enrique Iglesias. Over the course of 3 world tours, played over 150 concerts in venues such as Madison Square Garden, The Forum, and The Meadowlands. Television appearances include The Tonight Show, Dick Clark's New Year's Eve Special, and The American Music Awards. * 1995-present: Founding member of Pyramid (Guitar & Vocals); along with bassist Danny Miranda (Queen + Paul Rodgers, Meat Loaf, Blue Oyster Cult) and drummer Bobby Rondinelli (Rainbow, Black Sabbath, Blue Oyster Cult). * 1989–1997: Studio work including sessions with: Blue Oyster Cult, Leslie West, Danger Danger, and The Good Rats. * 1976–1981: Early bands include Teaser, Tattoo, and Mammoth.
