Cirith Gorgor is a Dutch black metal band that formed in 1993.The name is taken from J. R. R. Tolkien's fantasy novel The Lord of the Rings, in which Cirith Gorgor is a pass which serves as the entrance to the land of Mordor, covered by the Black Gate.
