Musician of Rock and Blues
One of the key figures in the early NZ Rock & Roll scene. Claude Papesch was a blind keyboardist from New Plymouth who was equally at home in jazz, rock & roll and pop. He also produced records. He moved to Australia in the 1960s where he recorded two albums and appeared on countless sessions. In later years he was a local politician of some note in New South Wales. Claude Papesch died in 1987 aged just 45.
