Four compositions by Clayton Thomas and Burkhard Beins reconstructing and reconfiguring six duo improvisations for bass and percussion and eight solo improvisations by seven brass and keyboard soloists. All material for tracks 1 and 2 (Rhythm Complication & Brass) has been recorded at Sowieso (Berlin) on four consecutive days in March 2010, with always one soloist opening for the duo. All material for tracks 3 and 4 (Rhythm Complication & Keys) has been recorded at ausland (Berlin) on two consecutive days in September 2012, with 2 soloists and one duo performing on each day.
