Clement Bazin, a new favorite of WithUsRecords since last winter, is a Parisian producer who uploads his amazing tracks on soundcloud. Just like that. But things change. In May 2012, he released his first EP entitled “Inner Voices EP” on our label. Inspired by the triumphant Californian beat scene and by the legendary UK garage family, he invites us into an electronic universe inspired by multiple influences. Clementt is also a steel drum and a steel pan teacher at the Conservatoire in Paris and in the Yonne, at the young age of 27. This instrument, shaped out of an oil barrel, reminds us of remote tribal cultures and of the darkest hours of colonial and slave history. The constant echo of sounds on the EP evokes the practice of this instrument, which, beyond the rhythm, tinges his productions with nostalgia and reminds us of melancholic blues tunes. Let’s hope that this first release is only the beginning. In any case, we are absolutely delighted to welcome Clement Bazin into our family, a family who plans to be impeccable in terms of quality and eclecticism.
