Coloma's sound is influenced by geography: Rob Taylor and Alex Paulick live in Cologne, Germany - a city well known for its flourishing electronic music scene. But they originate from England, and grew up listening to pop songs. This helps explain the duo's unique combination of songwriting and sound-design... Their 2002 debut 'Silverware' was praised throughout the German music press, but Coloma first caught the attention of international audiences after their appearance at the Sonar festival in Barcelona. In April 2003 Coloma released their second album, 'Finery'.
